Istanbul-based transit trade in food and agriculture
GRANORA Gıda ve Tarım Ekipmanları Sanayi Dış Ticaret Ltd. Şti. was founded in Istanbul to trade food, agricultural products and agricultural equipment between countries.
Who we are
Our name comes from two words: grano, meaning grain, and ora, meaning gold. A grain keeps its value only when it reaches the right buyer at the right time. Our job is to build that route and carry its commercial side.
Our articles of association cover a broad field, from grains and pulses to vegetable oils, from meat and dairy to nuts and spices, from animal feed to agricultural machinery. We use this breadth so that buyers can source different products through a single counterparty.
Our headquarters is in Küçükçekmece, Istanbul. Buying, selling, pricing and shipment planning are handled here, while the goods travel directly from where they are produced to the destination country.
The story of our name
Grain. The word shares the same root in Italian, Spanish and Portuguese and sums up the core of our business.
From the Latin-rooted oro, meaning gold. The color of a ripe ear of wheat and the value of trade done at the right time.
